Samogonshiki
This is a pair of old Russian color films, with music and sound effects dubbed in. It's like the 3-stooges, but in color... and Russian. If anyone knows more or can read the title, please ad a comment.

Please visit https://archive.org/details/samogonshiki_202010 for the subtitle file. Now I know what they are singing about in the Bootleggers part.

After watching this little gem of Soviet comedy, one can't help but admit that at least in the department of slapstick USSR was superior to USA. Shamelessly silly but notoriously funny, the misadventures of three drunkards and one dog (a true star of the show) are higly recomended!

Funny. Silly. The smartest of the group is four-legged. Gonna get a beer and watch it again.

"Mongrel Dog and Unusual Cross."
In the 1930s, 40s, and 50s, America’s domination over world comedy drove the Russians to despair. After decades of research, Russia decided to strike American comedy at its weakest point - the 3 Stooges.
Communism’s response was a trio of ne'er-do-wells, named 'Coward, Fool, and Experienced' - played by George Vitsin, Yevgeny Morgunov, and Yuri Nikulin respectively. Their cunning and masterful performances, threatened American comedic hegemony. Having to face the fact that the Russians had achieved comedic superiority, the United States capitulated. In the end, America and Russia came to terms and put the Cold War behind them, in large part because of embarrassment related to some of these films.
How many today realize that without Larry, Moe, and Curley, détente between Soviet Communism and American Capitalism would never have been possible? Looking back on it now, it all seems to fall into place somehow.

Subject: Pretty Cool!
I really liked these movies a lot. There are only a few spoken words in the second film, and none in the first. The first in this pair is a wacky fishing trip with dynamite. The second flick is a winter bootlegging adventure out in a woodland cabin. These are treasure! A russian speaking person could perhaps translate the titles and post them here, no?
